hello there.

my girlfriend and i are looking for someone to move into our lovely two bedroom apartment in allston. the location is incredibly convenient. we're just a couple blocks away from the corner of harvard ave and commonwealth ave. the b line t stop is only minutes walk away, as are multiple bus routes, including the 57 and 66. also within walking distance is the laundrymat (only a couple blocks away) as well as the supermarket, coolidge corner (maybe 15 minutes) and even the watertown mall is only about a halfhour walk.

the asking rent of $800 a month does include utilities: heat, water, electricity, trash, and high-speed internet. we don't currently have television service, but that's certainly something we could split if you were interested.

i also have a cat, and would prefer no dogs for that reason. another cat would be fine. my cat is about 6 years old, very active and playful, but also doesn't tear up the place at night. she has all her shots and is spayed. the apartment is on the third floor. landlord lives on the first floor, so any problems get addressed pretty quickly (though i haven't had any). we also have a back porch and grill. there's an absolute ton of storage space as well.

so, about us. i'm mike, i'm 24 and a college graduate working at a school. like typical young guys, i like playing video games and board games. i also have an acoustic guitar and ukulele that i mess around with. kate's 19, and she's really into art and cooking and baking. we're in the process of converting one of the storage rooms into a small studio for her, and we also usually have a few sitdown meals a week.

we're looking for a roommate somewhere around our age range, either gender is fine. looking for someone responsible and clean (we're both pretty neat). we prefer a non-smoker, but i suppose outdoors would be fine. we're not 420 friendly and want a roommate who really isn't in the drug scene at all. alcohol is fine, but we're really not looking for someone who loves to party. having a few friends over to hang out is totally cool once in a while.
