i have a room available in a modern, 2-bedroom apartment on the 5th floor of an apartment building (with an elevator!) just two blocks from the heart of coolidge corner in brookline - complete with its many restaurants, shops, etc. the apartment has a spacious living room and dining area (combined) with nice carpeting throughout and 2 large balconies with outstanding views. there is also central heat and air conditioning! the kitchen has been updated with dishwasher/disposal and there is a reasonably sized, up-to date bathroom. the available room is average to small in size (but certainly not tiny) and has a nice-sized closet - it also has a balcony. the size of the entire apartment is 1031 square feet. the available room doesn't come with a parking spot, and unfortunately there is no overnight street-parking in brookline (unless you find a designated spot somewhere on your own, which can be quite expensive). i'm moving into the apartment in early january and plan on furnishing all of it myself (except for the available room).the building has plenty of washers/dryers in the basement as well. it's also close to public transportation (a 5 min walk to the coolidge corner t-stop), and there are also various bus stops in the area. i will have a cat, so it's important that you'd be okay with this and that you're not allergic. **note: the pictures of the apartment are of the actual unit, however the furniture pictured belongs to the last occupant, so the furniture in the common areas of the apartment will be different - in addition, they are currently re-painting the apartment and putting down brand new carpet. i'll be attending simmons starting in january studying marketing. i'm looking for a responsible roommate who might want to hang out sometimes, or perhaps even become friends.
