the house belongs to good friends of mine; they are moving out of state and decided to let me rent the house instead of trying to sell in this market. while i'm naturally an average housekeeper, i do want to take excellent care of their home. if you are a total slob or planning to trash the place, please move on!the house is in brooklyn center, near 694 & 100. it's a townhome, two units to a building (side by side). it's 1450 sq ft, with an attached 2 car garage (yes, you get a space) and a nice yard with a small patio. main floor has laundry, kitchen/dining area, living room, 1/2 bath, and an office. upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a full bath (there's only one bathtub/shower, so we'd have to share).
i am employed full-time as a nanny, so i leave the house by 6:30 a.m. and usually get back between 5-6. i have a large dog (collie/setter/??? mix) who is very quiet and very gentle. give him a tummy rub and he'll be your friend for life. i love to cook and will happily share if you want to contribute to shared groceries; if not, you're free to go your own way for food too.
i'm looking for a traditional roommate situation, not just renting out a single room. you would have unrestricted access to all areas of the home except my bedroom. feel free to have people over, live your life as normal. it'll be your home too!
the owners do prefer no additional pets (although that might be negotiable for the right person). absolutely no smoking on the property--even outside--as i have a severe allergy. that includes your guests too.
rent will be $400 a month plus half the utilities. i’m guessing your utility cost will be around $100 based on where i currently live; that includes electricity, water/sewer/trash, gas, and cable/internet. month-to-month with 30 days notice. first and last month rent due prior to move-in. i'll be able to start showing oct. 18 and you can move in nov. 1. i’ll try to take some pictures and post them soon!
