the room is on the smaller side (approximately 10'x10'), but has its own private bathroom (stand up shower, toilet and small sink) in the finished basement of a family owned home. three small children and large dog reside in the home with parents. room is not completely sound proof to the upper floor. family is respectful, professional couple and live an active life. never making noise during off hours and they expect the same. the ceiling is 6', so if you are taller this may not work for you. security deposit of $300 required. rent is due on the 15th & includes heat, hot water, electricity & internet. does not include cable. there is a small 1/2 closet in the hall outside of the room, and there is also an 8'x8' area which is yours to use. all the perks of living in your own apartment, but does not have access to a kitchen. the current roommate uses the "lounge" area as his kitchenette. the family is offering a small cubic refrigerator for your temporary use while there, and there is a large freezer in the basement which you may store items as well.
the room is adjacent to the laundry room, which on one designated day per week you will have the ability to use. washer & dryer available. must provide your own laundry detergent. plenty of street parking. located near 429 bus to haymarket, & wonderland. no smoking allowed. no drugs allowed. the room has it's own thermostat and baseboard heating. the room is very cool in the summer, and does not require any ac. windows open in the basement. access to your "room" is via a separate entrance to the house. please respond with any questions. we don't anticipate it being available for long.
