i'm looking for a roommate to rent the spare bedroom in my 1,200 foot home. i do own this home, so i've worked fairly hard to decorate it and make it comfortable. the house has two bedrooms, a shared bath, a loft space upstairs, and a large living room and eat-in kitchen downstairs. the $450 a month includes all utilities, although i do not currently have cable. should you want cable, that is something we could discuss. i do have a small dog named puck (he's in one of the pictures below).

i'm looking for a neat, relatively-quiet, non-smoker as a roommate. i do go out on weekends with friends, so i don't expect my roommate to be a non-drinker. since i'm a (female) twenty-something teacher, i would prefer a young professional person like myself. should you (future roommate) have a boyfriend or girlfriend who seems to spend most nights here at oak street, we'd have to work something out rent-wise: a third person would certainly use more utilities than just two!

first and last month's rent, as well as references would be required. this rental would be month-to-month.
